When choosing an electric range for your kitchen, you will have many, many options. There are three main types of electric ranges for you to choose from. Do you know what they are? I created this blog after spending months researching different products and choosing the perfect range for my kitchen. I wanted a stove that would be efficient, nice looking and that would last several years with very little maintenance. It is my hope that my months of research will help you find the range for your kitchen with fewer steps and less time in the decision making process.
When it comes to washer and dryer technology, there are a lot of improvements that have been made. Many of the modern washing machines are front-loading, just like traditional dryers have been. The difference is not just in the fact that you load it from the front, but in the overall design and efficiency of these machines. Here are some benefits of these types of washing machines.
They Can be Stacked
A major benefit to front-loading washing machines is the fact that they can be stacked. Before these new models, the only way you can stack your washer and dryer on top of each other was if you actually got stackable appliances. These were typically attached and were smaller than the typical machines. However, with front-loading washers, you are able to stack them on top of each so that you can save space in your laundry area. Prior to this, full-sized washers were top-loading, which meant they couldn't be stacked on top of a dryer. They also work next to each other if you decide not to stack them, so you have more flexibility.
Less Water is Used
According to Fox News, less water is needed when you have a front-loading washing machine, which helps save you money and provides a more eco-friendly appliance. The reason they use less water is because the drum is horizontal, which allows a smaller amount of water to wash and rinse the clothes thoroughly. In a top-loading washer, the clothes need to be completely submerged in the drum to be washed, which uses considerably more water.
Clothes Get a Gentler Washing Cycle
Another benefit to a front-loading washing machine is that it tends to be gentler on your garments. With a front-loading washing machine, the clothes are spun in a horizontal drum where clothing items go in an up and down motion around the drum. This gentle tumbling motion allows them to get clean without having to put them through the rigorous wash cycle of a top-loading machine. The top-loading washing machines require the clothes to be spun vigorously around the drum, which can be harsh on some materials.
They Allow for Easy Removal of Laundry
If you are on the short side, you will happy that removing laundry from a front-loading washing machine is so much easier. Getting clothes out of the bottom of a top-loading machine becomes a nuisance when you are bending over to try and retrieve that one sock that is stuck in the bottom corner of the drum. With a front-loading machine, it is easy to remove the clothing and transfer them to the dryer.
